Resources for Volunteers at BloodCenter of Wisconsin
Making a difference can mean many different things to many different people. As a BloodCenter of Wisconsin volunteer, we understand that what you give is most significant. You give the gift of time, and the time you share with BloodCenter is truly valued.
We know we can only succeed by working together as a team, and that’s why we’ve put together these resources to help you stay up-to-date and knowledgeable about what’s going on at BloodCenter.
We truly value all of our volunteers, and we celebrate all of the contributions of time and talent they make at an annual recognition event.
So many of our volunteers have personal stories they would love to share. This one about Kierston Ghaznavi, volunteer and donor mom, is just one of many. For more inspiring stories from our volunteers, check out our Volunteer Stories page.
BloodCenter of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Donor Network and Wisconsin Tissue Bank proudly recognize and honor our volunteers who make a difference. We have relied on their generosity to help in blood collection and marrow registration drives for over 15 years. Volunteers spend time at community events and health fairs educating people on the importance of joining the registries. Their dedication to our cause is a large part of the reason we are successful. Our volunteers are:
- Donor family members
- Transplant recipients
- Transplant candidates
- Former blood donors
- Transfusion recipients
- Family and friends of individuals impacted directly by blood transfusions, organ and tissue donation or transplantatiom
- Members of the community who want to connect with our mission
The Link is published monthly for blood and marrow donation volunteers. This publication helps you stay connected with other volunteers at BloodCenter. We welcome your ideas and suggestions, so please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Volunteer Services Department at (414) 937-6364 or 1-877-232-4376 ext. 6364.
